Bath Time Essentials For Baby
I remember the first time I gave each of my little ones their first bath. It was so terrifying. I think the thought of giving such a small tiny human a bath while holding their heads up and making sure you don’t get water in their faces is a bit nerve-wracking. One thing that helped me is making sure that I had all of the bath time essentials for baby ready and in reach. It is important to remember not to fully submerge your baby until after their umbilical cord completely falls off. I created a list of bath time essentials to help you out to help make this less…

Making The Most Of Nap Time
As a parent, I find it hard to get everything I need done in a day. It was much more difficult when my little ones weren’t on the same schedule. Now that they are I find it much easier. I use nap time to do the bulk of the things I need to get done. Luckily for me DJ & Brooklyn nap for about 2-3 hours. One usually wakes up a little bit before the other, but I try to make it so I do most of what I need in a 2 hours window. I make sure I start as soon as I lay them down, I don’t wait…

Hospital Bag Essentials
I remember packing my hospital bag for DJ two months in advance. My doctor and everyone around me kept telling me that since he was my first he would most likely be late. Everything I was told made me assume he’d be born closer to the end of September. I suppose my brain was thinking it would be closer to New York fall weather. Even if DJ would have been two weeks late like I was preparing for it still would have been in 90’s here in Vegas. It was only my second year going through a Vegas summer experience though. My bag was packed with yoga pants, a sweatshirt,…

Tips For Staying On The Las Vegas Strip With Young Children
Living in Las Vegas with two toddlers has given me a lot of first hand experience with staying at hotels on the Las Vegas Strip with young children. My family loves to have little staycations, and we tend to get a lot of comp nights on the Strip. Also, when my Mom comes into town we tend to spend most of our time on the Strip. We went from going without kids, to going with one baby, to now going with two toddlers. I have found that while it can be a bit more of a hassle at times, it’s actually pretty easy to have a good time and have…

5 Bottle Feeding Must Haves
How you end up feeding your baby always seems to cause a lot of controversy. I don’t really understand it. As long as your baby is fed that should be all that matters. I ended up having to formula feed since I didn’t produce any milk. Nevertheless, whether you formula feed or pump you will end up bottle feeding (unless you strictly breastfeed without pumping). These are my 5 bottle feeding must haves. This post contains affiliate links. I may get a small commission at no extra cost to you. For more information check the sidebar. Bottles This one is obvious, but what bottles you pick will make a huge…

Grief as a Parent
When I was fifteen years old I lost my step-dad Dennis. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. It felt as though someone ripped a piece out of me. The grief was too much. As a teenager I openly grieved. I did not care who saw my anger or depression, because I had nobody around me that I wanted to shield the pain from. I was experiencing grief as a teenager, not grief as a parent. On June 19, 2018 I lost my Nana. Until now the death of my step-dad was the hardest thing I had ever gone through. This time no matter how much…

Family Friendly Las Vegas | Silverton Casino Free Aquarium
One of my favorite places to take my little ones is the Silverton Casino free aquarium. Normally, we will go to the buffet and then follow that up with the aquarium. On a good day we will catch the mermaid. For a schedule of when to see the mermaid, or live feeding you can check their website here. I’ve always liked the cylinder aquarium. It is beautiful. I love the aquarium even more now. Seeing things through DJ and Brooklyn’s eyes is such an amazing experience. DJ wants us to get fish for the house now. Both of them will just stare at the fish for as long as we…

Summer Infant Digital Touchscreen Monitor | Review
Review: Summer Infant Digital Touchscreen Monitor It’s crazy to think that our family never had a baby monitor until after my son was two. We didn’t really think we needed one since both of the little ones has their cribs in our room. The only times we sometimes wished we did was when we had friend over after bedtime, and we didn’t want to keep the door open and risk waking them. Right before our wedding this past October our neighbor was moving. She asked us if we wanted a baby monitor she has found while packing, and it was never opened. It was the Summer Infant digital touchscreen monitor.…

Father’s Day Craft
It’s a week away from Father’s Day, and I wanted to make sure David got a cute gift from the little ones. I decided to search Pinterest for the best Father’s Day craft they could make for their Dad, and I was not disappointed. I found this cute monster father’s day craft. It’s perfect since I always call our little ones little monsters. Of course I wanted to tweak it a bit for my little ones. Brooklyn wasn’t into it, and didn’t really decorate hers. She is probably still too young. DJ LOVED it. He would have made a whole bunch of them if I had let him. It was…

Why We Don’t Limit Screen Time
In the parenting world whether or not to limit screen time is a hard decision. Before we had DJ, we never really thought of it. Honestly, I don’t think David or I thought about whether or not to do it until after Brooklyn. Why We Don’t Limit Screen Time After Brooklyn was born I quickly realized that it wasn’t easy to keep a toddler happy and give him my full attention, while also taking care of a newborn. I wasn’t trying to rely completely on TV shows or the iPad, but it was definitely a big help in keeping DJ happy and calm. A big thing that I noticed is…
