Best Pools in Las Vegas for Families This Summer
If you are a Las Vegas local or planning a trip here with kids this summer, one thing you absolutely need to know is that the pools in this city are incredible. We are not talking about your average hotel pool. We are talking lazy rivers, wave pools, water slides, shark tanks, and sandy beaches. Las Vegas does everything big and the pools are no exception.
I put together this guide covering the best options for locals and visitors alike so you can actually plan your summer pool days without spending hours searching. Let’s get into it!
Local Pools
These are the ones we as Las Vegas locals love and keep coming back to.
1. The Palms Pool
This is one of our personal favorites and one of the best kept secrets for Las Vegas families. The pool itself is beautiful and the vibe is relaxed compared to the big Strip pools. One important thing to know before you go is that the free cabana perk for locals is only available to Nevada residents who are 21 and older. So if you are bringing the kids you will need to book a paid cabana. Is it worth it? In my opinion absolutely yes. The cabanas at the Palms come with their own small private pool which is so perfect for little ones. Having a shaded spot with your own private splash area for the kids makes the whole day so much more enjoyable. We love it here and keep going back.

2. The M Resort Pool
The M Resort pool is really underrated and I feel like not enough people talk about it. It is a gorgeous pool with beautiful views and a much more relaxed atmosphere than the Strip pools. It is great for families because it does not have that intense party pool energy. The kids can actually swim and have fun without feeling like they are in the middle of a nightclub. The pool area is well maintained and the staff is always really friendly. A great option if you want something low key and beautiful.

3. Green Valley Ranch Pool
Green Valley Ranch is one of the most popular local pools and for good reason. The pool area is really well maintained and has a resort feel to it. I have heard the pool area has a sandy beach vibe similar to a resort which sounds amazing. I want to be upfront that I have not personally verified all the details so check their website before you go for current pricing and hours. What I do know is that locals can purchase day admission which makes it accessible even without a hotel stay. Pricing for 2026 is around $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 3 to 9 with children under 3 free.

4. Tahiti Village
Tahiti Village is a Polynesian themed resort just off the Strip and the pool area is absolutely gorgeous. There is a lazy river, waterfalls, a sandy beach entry pool, and daily activities for kids. It genuinely feels like you are at a tropical resort and not in the middle of the Nevada desert. The pool is primarily for hotel guests but based on recent visitor reports some people have been able to get visitor wristbands by asking nicely at the front desk. I would recommend calling ahead or booking a stay if you really want to experience this one because it is truly special. They also do Mermaid Encounters at the pool which my kids would absolutely love.

5. Desert Breeze Aquatic Facility
This one is a true local hidden gem and I cannot believe more people do not talk about it. Desert Breeze has an indoor pool that is open year round plus a seasonal outdoor water park with a shallow beach entry, a play structure, and two water slides. The best part is the price. Admission for kids ages 3 to 17 is only $2. Yes, two dollars. For a Las Vegas summer that is an incredible deal. It is run by Clark County and located at 8275 Spring Mountain Road. One thing to note is that family swim hours are limited so check the schedule before you go. Family swim runs Monday through Thursday from 5:30am to 8:30am and 2:30pm to 4:00pm, Friday from 5:30am to 9:30am and 2:30pm to 8:00pm, and Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm. It is closed on Sundays.

Strip and Fremont Pools
These are the big resort pools that are worth the trip whether you are a local buying a day pass or a visitor staying on the Strip.
6. Mandalay Bay Beach
This is the gold standard for Las Vegas family pools and it deserves every bit of its reputation. Mandalay Bay has a real sandy beach, a wave pool, a lazy river, and multiple pools. It genuinely feels like you are at a beach resort and not in the Nevada desert. The kids absolutely love the wave pool and the lazy river is perfect for just floating around and relaxing. It does get busy so go early and consider booking a cabana in advance if you want a guaranteed spot. This one is a must do at least once.

7. Golden Nugget Pool and Shark Tank
This one is unlike anything else in Las Vegas and honestly anywhere. The Golden Nugget has a 200,000 gallon shark tank right in the middle of the pool. You can swim next to real sharks and even go down a water slide that runs through the shark tank. I have not personally been but my kids would lose their minds over this and I am already planning our visit. It is located Downtown at the Golden Nugget which makes it a really fun day trip if you want to explore Fremont Street too. This one is truly one of a kind.

8. Planet Hollywood Pool
Planet Hollywood has two pools and the north pool on the Scene Pool Deck is the family friendly one open to all ages. The pool sits on the sixth floor rooftop with stunning Strip views which is really cool. Hotel guests get in free but non-hotel guests need to book a daybed or cabana reservation to access the pool. The really fun bonus here is the FlowRider, which is the only surf simulator on the Las Vegas Strip. It is available for ages 13 and up for an additional fee and instructors walk you through the whole experience. If you have older kids this is such a cool and unique thing to do. Planet Hollywood is also right next to Miracle Mile Shops and Rainforest Cafe so you could make a whole day out of it.
📍3667 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
9. Flamingo Family Pool (Hotel Guests Only)
The Flamingo has a dedicated Family Pool that is separate from their adults only GO Pool and it is really lovely. There is a water slide, a cascading waterfall, and intertwining lagoons. The tropical atmosphere with lush greenery makes it feel like a little oasis right in the middle of the Strip. Just know that this one is for hotel guests only so you will need to be staying at the Flamingo to access it. If you are planning a Strip hotel stay with the kids the Flamingo Family Pool is a really great perk.

Honorable Mention
10. Cowabunga Bay Water Park
If you are looking for a full water park experience rather than a hotel pool, Cowabunga Bay in Henderson needs to be on your radar. This place has everything your kids could want including water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a splash pad for the little ones. It is a full day activity and the reviews from Las Vegas families are consistently amazing. It can get busy on peak summer days so plan to go early and bring plenty of sunscreen because the Henderson sun is no joke. This one is on our family bucket list and I cannot wait to check it out!

Tips for Pool Days in Las Vegas with Kids
Always go early. Pools fill up fast on summer weekends and the heat is much more manageable in the morning. Bring your own snacks and water because poolside food and drinks add up quickly. If you are going to a hotel pool always check whether they require a room key or if they offer day passes for non-guests. And please always always always apply sunscreen and reapply every hour because the Las Vegas sun will get you faster than you think.
Which pool is your family’s favorite? I would love to hear in the comments!
