Father’s Day Craft
It’s a week away from Father’s Day, and I wanted to make sure David got a cute gift from the little ones. I decided to search Pinterest for the best Father’s Day craft they could make for their Dad, and I was not disappointed. I found this cute monster father’s day craft. It’s perfect since I always call our little ones little monsters. Of course I wanted to tweak it a bit for my little ones. Brooklyn wasn’t into it, and didn’t really decorate hers. She is probably still too young. DJ LOVED it. He would have made a whole bunch of them if I had let him. It was…

Why We Don’t Limit Screen Time
In the parenting world whether or not to limit screen time is a hard decision. Before we had DJ, we never really thought of it. Honestly, I don’t think David or I thought about whether or not to do it until after Brooklyn. Why We Don’t Limit Screen Time After Brooklyn was born I quickly realized that it wasn’t easy to keep a toddler happy and give him my full attention, while also taking care of a newborn. I wasn’t trying to rely completely on TV shows or the iPad, but it was definitely a big help in keeping DJ happy and calm. A big thing that I noticed is…

Cookie Butter Buttercream
I have a huge sweet tooth. I’ve said it before in a previous post. Cupcakes are the easiest thing to make, so I decided I’d bake some. While trying to figure out what kind of frosting to make, I saw I had a whole jar of Cookie Butter. I already had a regular buttercream recipe from Culinary Arts, so I tweaked it. This is how Cookie Butter buttercream was born. Cookie Butter Buttercream The first thing I did was add he softened butter into my Kitchen Aid and turn the mixer on low to smooth out. I add the Vanilla, and mixed until combined, followed by adding the cookie butter…

Book of the Month | Shelter In Place
I love to read. I usually read at least one book a day. This is a pretty expensive habit to keep up though. That why my husband and I decided that we should get Kindle Unlimited. It has so many ebooks available for only $9.99 a month. If you click here you can get your first month free. Honestly, I highly recommend it. I have had it for about 4 months now. 3 Strawberry Summer Treats For Toddlers
I don’t know about you, but strawberries scream summertime. Both DJ & Brooklyn love strawberries. I figured now would be the perfect time to start making strawberry related treats for them. Everything I’ve made is extremely easy. Here is my list of 3 strawberry summer treats for toddlers. 3 Strawberry Summer Treats For Toddlers Strawberry Vanilla Rice Krispies Treats 1 10 oz bag strawberry marshmallows 5 Cups Rice Krispies cereal 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 1/4 Country Crock (you can use anything, this is just what I had on hand) Melt butter/country crock in a pot. Pour butter into a large bowl. Mix marshmallows into butter until almost smooth. Add vanilla…

10 Newborn Must Haves
When you are pregnant with your first baby, and you need to make a registry, it can be extremely overwhelming. I decided to make a list of my 10 newborn must haves. I’m not including diapers, wipes, and onesies. Those three are obvious. All of these items are the exact (or as close to as possible) to what I have used with my little ones when they were newborns. Disclaimer: This post has affiliate links. Please check sidebar for more information. 10 Newborn Must Haves Baby Brezza Formula Pro This was my life saver. Unfortunately, I was unable to breastfeed due to lack of milk; however, formula was perfectly fine…

Diaper Bag Essentials
My Diaper Bag Essentials My diaper bag essentials has changed since DJ was first born. My diaper bag is no longer for one newborn, it is for 2 toddlers (1 year old girl & 2 year old boy). Surpringly, I am convinced I have the same amount or less than I had when I had just had one newborn. This list is suitable for all ages, just adjust according to age and the amount of children. I try to have one diaper per hour I think I’ll be out. Since DJ is potty training I don’t need as many for him. Diapers & Wipes These are the most obvious items…

Classic Shortbread Cookies
I love to bake. I try not to bake very often, because otherwise the only foods I’d be eating are baked goods. However, on Thursday I was craving shortbread cookies. I don’t know how to makes them from scratch, so I grabbed a recipe out of my Great American Home Baking book. This recipe is extremely easy. The recipe says to use an electric mixer, but I just used my Kitchen Aid stand mixer David got me for Christmas 2 years ago. Instead of parchment paper I used aluminum foil. I prefer my cookies, and other baked goods, to have a more rustic homemade feel to them. The recipe calls…

Loot Crate | May 2018
Loot Crate | May 2018 My husband, brother-in-law, and I all love Loot Crate. Loot crate is 19.99 + shipping, which when I look at my bank statement is about $24.99. I like a few things in my Loot Crate May 2018, but really this stuff is for my husband. The theme this month was: Role Models? Deadpool T-Shirt I love Deadpool, and I love this shirt. I still have to see Deadpool 2, but it’s hard to get out of the house with a 1 & 2 year old. You can’t see it in the pictures, but Deadpool is saying Pico Boo. Dead Pool Poster This poster is small,…

Two Under Two Is A Good Thing.
I know there is a lot of stigma around having 2 under 2. I remember finding out I was pregnant with Brooklyn when DJ was only 8 months old, and I panicked. He was only 16 months old when she was born. Now that I’m out of the 2 under 2 club, I truly believe two under two is a good thing. I know, you probably think I’m crazy. How is having two under two a good thing? You’ll have to trust me on this one. Now maybe it’s just that it was a good thing for me. Every child is different, as is every family. For my family though,…
