Beat the Heat: 14 Best Indoor Activities for Kids in Las Vegas This Summer

One thing about Las Vegas summers is that they are no joke. We are talking 110 degrees on a regular Tuesday. Going outside is just not an option for a lot of the day, and I say that as someone who has lived here long enough to know better than to try. With four kids at home I am always looking for ways to keep everyone entertained, cool, and out of the house without losing my mind. The good news is that Las Vegas actually has so many amazing options for families. We have been to most of these ourselves and I can honestly say each one is worth it. Here are my 14 favorite indoor activities for kids in Las Vegas this summer!

1. Round One
This is genuinely one of our family’s favorite places to go. Round One has a huge arcade, claw games, 99 ice cream, and good food. My kids could spend an entire day there and still want to stay longer. The arcade is massive and the prize redemption area at the end is always a hit. I recommend going on a weekday if you can because weekends get really busy

2. Fantasy Claw Arcade
If your kids love claw machines, they are going to lose their minds at Fantasy Claw. The selection of machines is incredible and the prizes are actually good. We have been multiple times and it never gets old. It is a more focused experience than Round One but honestly sometimes that is exactly what we need. Great for all ages.

3. Adventuredome at Circus Circus
Adventuredome is America’s largest indoor theme park and it is right here in Las Vegas. There are rides for all ages, indoor rock climbing, mini bowling, and free clown shows. It is a full day activity and the older kids especially love the Canyon Blaster roller coaster. You can also do unlimited ride wristbands which is great if you have kids who want to ride everything five times.

4. Discovery Children’s Museum
This one is great for younger kids especially. There are three floors of interactive exhibits including a toddler only zone, a mini city, and science exhibits. It has been around for over 30 years and there is a reason families keep going back. My little ones always have a great time here.

5. Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
This one is completely free and it is so beautiful. The indoor garden changes its theme five times a year so every time you go it looks different. Right now they have the summer display up. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk through but kids always love it and the photos are gorgeous. Go on a weekday morning to avoid the crowds.

6. Nevada State Museum
A really great option if you want something educational. The kids love the fossils and the mammoth display. It is very affordable and a nice change of pace from the more high energy spots on this list. My son went for a field trip and loved it!

7. Wonder Play Cafe
This one is newer and it is so cute. It is designed specifically for little ones ages 0 to 5 and it blends play zones with a cafe for parents. If you have a toddler or baby this is such a good option because it is calm, clean, and you can actually sit and enjoy a coffee while they play. It is located at The Gramercy.

8. Las Vegas Natural History Museum
The dinosaur displays in here are amazing. There is also a marine life section and an African savanna exhibit. Really cool for all ages.

We have been to Uptown Jungle several times over the years and the kids always love it. There are trampolines, slides, an obstacle course, a rock wall, and a dedicated Tot area for the little ones. It is in Henderson which is easy to get to. They also do special events and memberships if you plan on going more than once which I highly recommend because it saves you a lot of money. My son had a birthday party here a few years back and it was AWESOME!

10. Chuck E. Cheese
A classic for a reason. Yes it is loud and chaotic and yes I love it anyway because my kids are absolutely obsessed. The Summer Fun Pass is a great deal if you plan on going multiple times this summer. You can read my full review of the Summer Fun Pass [here].

11. Kid’s Empire
Kid’s Empire has slides, ball pits, obstacle courses, and play zones for different age groups. There is a dedicated area for toddlers which I really appreciate when I have the little ones with me. It is a great option for burning energy on a hot day.

12. Gondola Rides at The Venetian
This one is a little different from the others but the kids think it is so fun. You ride in a gondola through the indoor Grand Canal at The Venetian, going under bridges and past shops and restaurants. It feels like a little adventure and it makes for really fun photos. A nice one to do if you want something different.

13. Silverton Casino Aquarium
The aquarium at the Silverton Casino is one of those hidden gems that I feel like not enough people know about. It is a 117,000 gallon tank filled with tropical fish, stingrays, and even sharks. The best part is that it is completely free to visit. My kids could stand in front of that tank for a long time. They also do mermaid and diver shows which the little ones absolutely love. It is a great quick stop that does not cost a thing.

14. John’s Incredible Pizza
If you have not been to John’s Incredible Pizza you are missing out. It is an all you can eat buffet combined with a giant arcade and rides. I am not going to lie to you, the food is not going to win any awards. But the kids absolutely love it and that is really what matters here. The arcade is huge and they have rides too which makes it feel like more than just a pizza place. It is a really fun family outing and the kids will talk about it for days.

A Few Tips Before You Go
Go early on weekdays whenever possible. You will save money in some places and definitely save your sanity everywhere else. Always bring a snack and water even for indoor activities because you are still walking through parking lots in the Las Vegas heat. Check the websites before you go for updated hours and pricing since things do change seasonally.

I hope this helps you survive the summer with your little ones! Which one is your family’s favorite? Let me know in the comments below. I would love to hear from you!
