Brooklyn is Two!
I still remember finding out I was pregnant with Brooklyn a few days before David’s surprise 30th birthday party. DJ was only 8 months old. It feels like Brooklyn was born, I blinked, and now Brooklyn is two. I am a little taken aback by how fast time seems to be moving.
One thing that hasn’t changed much about Brooklyn is that she is pretty independent. She never wanted help with anything. When she hit around 6 weeks, she would get more mad at me trying to rock her to sleep than if I left her to sleep on her own. Once she was able to hold a bottle herself, she no longer wanted me to hold it. Her most recent independence is walking up the stairs on her own, she no longer wants us to hold her on the way up. On the way down is a completely different story.
She is so talkative. I didn’t expect her to go from maybe 20-30 words to over 100 in only a few months. She is say 2-3 word sentences as well. Next step is counting to 10, the alphabet, her colors, and shapes.
I just can’t believe that she’s already two. Time has gone by way too fast. My 7 lb 3 oz baby is now a 29 lb toddler. Time please slow down.

Time flies when kids are little! Your daughter is adorable and it sounds like you enjoyed a nice celebration. Two is a fun age because they are discovering so much.
