10 Newborn Must Haves
When you are pregnant with your first baby, and you need to make a registry, it can be extremely overwhelming. I decided to make a list of my 10 newborn must haves. I’m not including diapers, wipes, and onesies. Those three are obvious. All of these items are the exact (or as close to as possible) to what I have used with my little ones when they were newborns.

10 Newborn Must Haves
Baby Brezza Formula Pro
This was my life saver. Unfortunately, I was unable to breastfeed due to lack of milk; however, formula was perfectly fine to me. Making bottles in the middle of the night was a nightmare though. We bought this as soon as we heard of it. DJ was approximately 4 months old. I was able to use this for both DJ & Brooklyn, and if we have a third (and I’m still not able to breastfeed) I will be using it for that baby as well. This has to be my favorite baby product I own.
Dr Brown’s Options Bottles
We tried a few different types of bottles with DJ. They all gave him terrible gassy stomach aches, all except Dr Brown’s bottles. They didn’t have the options bottles with DJ, but we bought them for Brooklyn. I love the options bottles, because once they are old enough to not need the vent it can be removed without leakage.
Pack n Play
We chose the one that has a small cozy napper, and that had a higher bassinet feature. My son used this until he was around one years old. Once we moved into a new house with a bigger space we put together his crib. We used the pack n play for Brooklyn too.
Infant Car Seat & Stroller Combo
I loved this, it made it so easy to take my little ones in and out of the car if we were out somewhere. The stroller we ended up not using with Brooklyn, because we needed a double stroller due to them being only 16 months apart. I love that Graco has the click connect car seat bases that come with the car seat.
Boppy Pillow
If you are breastfeed this will be your best friend. I still loved it thought for formula feeding. It was helpful for when my arms would get tired.
Humidifier
I live in Las Vegas, which is a very dry climate. As soon as our Pediatrician told us to get a humidifier, we went out and bought it. We still use it all the time. We loved this one, because of the images on the ceiling hat DJ now loves.
Halo Sleep Sack
Swaddling your newborn is a must; however, David & I suck at it. These made swaddling a breeze. If you’re able to swaddle I recommend Aiden & Anais.
Swing
We didn’t have a swing for DJ, and I wish we had. I’m definitely happy we had the swing for Brooklyn. It was hard to keep both Brooklyn & DJ calm at the same time, but I knew if I put her in her swing she would be calm.
Head Thermometer
I have found this made checking temperature extremely easy.
Nose Frida
Okay, honestly I thought these things seemed disgusting when I first saw it. DJ got RSV & Pneumonia when he was about 14 months old, and we finally bought one. This thing is amazing. I wish we would have gotten one sooner. We were able to easily get all of his snot out in way less time, and with way less of a fight.
I know everybody is different, but these are my top 10 newborn must haves. My honorable mention is a diaper bag. It is a definite must. If you need help with putting together a diaper bag, you can check my post on Diaper Bag Essentials.
