Welcome to day 1 of Blogmas! In case you don’t know, Blogmas is posting every single day from December 1st until December 25th. I’m so excited to share with you for these next 25 days. It’s all Holidays all month. There will also be two recipe posts a week. I hope you follow along with me.
My first Blogmas post is a DIY advent calendar. I’ll start with a disclaimer. I’m terrible at crafting and DIY. I really did try though, because this is for DJ & Brooklyn. Honestly, it’s just not as cute as I wanted. If you’re great at DIY, this will coming out amazing for you.

DIY Advent Calendar
To start I cut up pieces of paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls into the same size until I had 21. I cut a wrapping paper roll into 3 pieces that were the same size as the others. I was making the advent calendar into the shape of a tree so I used two of those three as the trunk, and one for the 25th day at the top of the tree.
After they were all cut up I put them all together the way I wanted the tree, and started to hot glue all of those pieces together.
I covered the back in tissue paper. Honestly I’m not sure why, but that’s what I did. I told you I’m terrible at DIY. After I covered the back I put in all of the little candies and toys in each spot.
Once each day had something inside I wrapped the rest up with wrapping paper, and wrote the numbers down.
I hope this inspired you to make you own, much prettier, advent calendar. I will try to make one every year with the hopes that it will get better looking each time. Don’t forget to check out future Blogmas posts here.
