DIY Advent Calendar

To start I cut up pieces of paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls into the same size until I had 21. I cut a wrapping paper roll into 3 pieces that were the same size as the others. I was making the advent calendar into the shape of a tree so I used two of those three as the trunk, and one for the 25th day at the top of the tree.

After they were all cut up I put them all together the way I wanted the tree, and started to hot glue all of those pieces together.

I covered the back in tissue paper. Honestly I’m not sure why, but that’s what I did. I told you I’m terrible at DIY. After I covered the back I put in all of the little candies and toys in each spot.

Once each day had something inside I wrapped the rest up with wrapping paper, and wrote the numbers down.

I hope this inspired you to make you own, much prettier, advent calendar. I will try to make one every year with the hopes that it will get better looking each time. Don’t forget to check out future Blogmas posts here.
