The Easiest Way to Decorate Christmas Cookies with Kids
It has been a long year since I’ve last posted. I have a ton of blog posts in my drafts that I couldn’t finish. It’s been a hard year, but also a great year in a lot of ways. One of the best things is that we bought a house! This is our first Christmas season in our own home. I have been wanting to make this year extra special. I’ve been decorating the whole house, doing extra special Christmas activities, and we even got an Elf on the Shelf for the first time. His name is Jingle. One thing I have been wanting to do is decorate cookies with…

DIY Fake Snow
It’s officially Blogmas again! I am so excited. This is easily my favorite time of the year. We are starting out Blogmas this years with DIY fake snow. It doesn’t snow here usually, and I wanted DJ and Brooklyn to be able to play in the “snow.” That’s where the idea of making them DIY fake snow came from. Honestly, it was really easy to make. However, if you hate getting messy you should wear gloves. What you need: Large bowl 2 lb Baking Soda 1 can Shaving Cream Peppermint extract or Peppermint essential oil How to make it: DIY fake snow was one of the easiest things to make…

Ethel M’s Cactus Garden Holiday Lights
One of my favorite places to go see every year since we moved to Las Vegas is Ethel M’s Cactus Garden holiday lights. It is one of my favorite holiday tradition that we started together. I love that we bring our little ones now too. It is so beautiful to see their eyes light up in awe at all the beautiful lights. The Cactus Garden is open to the public for free all year round, but from November 6 to January 6 they light up the entire garden with Christmas lights. The garden opens every day at 8 am, but the lights don’t go on until the sun goes down. During…

Peppermint Hot Cocoa Muddy Buddies
It’s day 11 of blogmas. We’re a day or two until we’re half way to Christmas! One of my favorite things to make during the holiday season is muddy buddies. Usually I only make the original kind, but this year I want to change it up. I decided to make peppermint hot cocoa muddy buddies. I think I’m going to make a bunch more to put in cute little bags for David’s coworkers. Peppermint Hot Cocoa Muddy Buddies The first thing I did was add the Chex into a large bowl. Next, I put both the chocolate chips and peppermint chunks into a microwave safe bowl. I melted them…

Tissue Paper Snowman Craft
Happy day 10 of blogmas! DJ & Brooklyn did the cutest tissue paper snowman craft, and I wanted to share it with you. One thing that I really hate about Las Vegas is that it doesn’t snow, but that is also one of the things I love about it. I know that makes no sense. I love when it snows on Christmas, but I don’t want snow any other day of the year. DJ is always talking about snow now, and I figured this was the only way he’s going to get to make a snowman. The snowman was extremely easy to do. I cut out the shape of the…

No Churn Apple Crumble Ice Cream
Welcome to day 7 of Blogmas! I decided to break up the gift guides with a delicious recipe post. Personally, I think ice cream is delicious any time of the year, and it goes great with all of the baking that I do. I found this recipe for no churn ice cream, and had to try it. I added my own spin by turning it into a holiday inspired ice cream. Instead of plain vanilla this is no churn apple crumble ice cream! I took the apple filling and crumble from my mini individual apple crumble pies and halved it for this recipe. What I Used: Ninja Professional Blender Cast Iron…
