2019 Holiday Gift Guide for Women

It is officially week two of my gift guides. I’m starting this week off with my 2019 holiday gift guide for women. I tried hard to make sure that I didn’t only put items that I wanted. Honestly, I do want all of it; however, I chose each item with different people in mind. I stuck to only ten gifts, but I could have easily chosen a lot more. 1 Brush Lettering Calligraphy Kit $39.50 I thought this would be such a fun gift for the creative women in your life, or even someone you’ve heard mention wanting to learn calligraphy. 2 Homesick Scented Candle $29.50 Who doesn’t love a…

2019 Holiday Gift Guide for 4-5 Year Olds

We’re rounding up our first week of gift guides with my 2019 holiday gift guide for 4-5 year olds. I’m not planning on doing any older ages, because I don’t have any children older than four. One thing I would like to mention before getting into this gift guide is that experiences make amazing gifts at this age. Experiences make great gifts for older kids as well. In addition, there are so many other great ideas for this age. I wanted to narrow it down to ten for all of you. Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. 2019 Holiday Gift Guide for 2-3 Year Olds

I’m back for my second gift guide of the year! I forgot how much fun making these are. This is my 2019 holiday gift guide for 2-3 year olds. I think this might be my favorite age group to make. Brooklyn is two, three in January, DJ just turned four in August, and I taught two year olds. I feel like this age is my jam. However, I have a feeling I will like the 4-5 year old gift guide as well. I hope you find some awesome gift ideas from this gift guide. 1 LeapFrog Spin and Sing Alphabet Zoo $19.99 I feel like not only would this keep a…

2019 Holiday Gift Guide for 0-1 Year Olds

It’s officially that time of year again! Time for holiday gift guides. Last year my gift guides were part of Blogmas, but this year I wanted to get them up early enough to be useful. I’m starting it off with my 2019 holiday gift guide for 0-1 year olds. This was actually my trickiest guide, because they’re so little. However, after a bit of searching I think I found a few good ones. In all honesty, I asked one of my mom groups for some ideas too. A big thank you to them! This post contains affiliate links. Ethel M’s Cactus Garden Holiday Lights

One of my favorite places to go see every year since we moved to Las Vegas is Ethel M’s Cactus Garden holiday lights. It is one of my favorite holiday tradition that we started together. I love that we bring our little ones now too. It is so  beautiful to see their eyes light up in awe at all the beautiful lights. The Cactus Garden is open to the public for free all year round, but from November 6 to January 6 they light up the entire garden with Christmas lights. The garden opens every day at 8 am, but the lights don’t go on until the sun goes down. During…

Keeping the Magic of Santa Alive

Welcome to day 15 of Blogmas! It’s almost the night children snuggle up in their beds with dreams of Santa Claus. In my opinion, there in nothing more magical than a child’s love of Christmas. I’ve been loving seeing DJ so excited about Santa all month long. I’m pretty sure every single day he reminds me that Santa is coming. I’m going to share with you ways of keeping the magic of Santa alive year after year. Visit Santa This is the first on my list, and probably the most obvious. What kid doesn’t love visiting Santa? Okay.. actually a lot of little kids. It still is a great way…

    Shepard’s Pie

Happy day 14 of Blogmas! This week I made Shepard’s pie for my family. They loved it. Honestly while it was delicious, I definitely made a few mistakes. I still wanted to share this recipe with all of you though. I used ground beef, which technically makes this more of a cottage pie; however, people use the term shepard’s pie for both ground beef and lamb. Truthfully, I love lamb. I would have used it if everyone in the house liked lamb. That isn’t the case though. This post contains affiliate links. Oatmeal Cookie Mix Gift

I remember when I was little I received chocolate chip cookie mix in a mason jar as a gift. I thought that this year I could make this gift for somebody else. Instead of chocolate chip I decided I’d make an oatmeal cookie mix gift. I really loved how easy it was to make, and now I want to make a whole bunch of them for people David works with. I started out with a basic oatmeal cookie recipe, and layered all of the dry ingredients. The recipe that I…

    Peppermint Hot Cocoa Muddy Buddies

It’s day 11 of blogmas. We’re a day or two until we’re half way to Christmas! One of my favorite things to make during the holiday season is muddy buddies. Usually I only make the original kind, but this year I want to change it up. I decided to make peppermint hot cocoa muddy buddies. I think I’m going to make a bunch more to put in cute little bags for David’s coworkers.   Peppermint Hot Cocoa Muddy Buddies The first thing I did was add the Chex into a large bowl.  Next, I put both the chocolate chips and peppermint chunks into a microwave safe bowl. I melted them…
