What do SAHMs (stay at hom moms) really do all day? I mean it must be nice to sit around all day in your pajamas and do nothing except binge watch your favorite TV shows. That must be the life. I hear these comments far too many times a week… sometimes even in a single day.

What I do all day is pretty simple:

I make sure my children are happy and healthy, I try to keep the house as clean as possible while keeping an eye on a 2 year old & 1 year old, and I make 3 meals a day for my family (and supply my kids with what feels like a million snacks).
I sat down around six times to start writing this, but every single time I needed to change a diaper, cook dinner, clean up toys, or get another snack for my two year old (DJ). Now that I’m finally writing this I have been stopped at least twenty times for absolutely no reason at all.
I truly love being a SAHM; however, I found it easier being a 2 year old teacher to ten 2 year olds at once than being a SAHM. I miss working. I miss the interactions I used to get with my coworkers. That being said, I love my life now. I love watching both of my children learn something new, and love the cuddles. I think this is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had in my life.

Please, next time you see a SAHM don’t ask them what they do all day. That is just rude.
